Grow in God's Word!

One of our most important goals at Cross of Christ is to connect you to God and his Word. We strive to do that by sharing the Gospel of Jesus Christ in all of our worship services, sermons, family and children's events, as well as in areas of ministry. The best way to really get to know God, however, is to sit down with a group of people and dig into his Word together. What a better way to "grow in the grace and knowledge of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ!" (2 Peter 3:18)

Cross of Christ offers a variety of Bible study opportunities for people of all ages on a regular basis. Click on one of the headers below for more information!

Growing in Hope: A Bible Basics Course
  • "Growing in Hope" is a relaxed pace, 17-lesson, introductory study of Bible basics open to anyone interested in finding out more about what God has to say to us in his Word for our lives today, especially anyone who is interested in becoming more involved as members of Cross of Christ. It's also a great refresher if it's been a while since you last covered the basics of God's Word. There is no obligation to join our congregation if you choose to take this course.

This Bible study is a great way to get your faith and knowledge of God's Word strengthened. It is also the best way to really see what we baelieve and teach about God's Word. Everyone who takes this course takes a lot out of it and really grows in their hope and faith in God. (Held at various times and places to meet needs of those who want to take it.)

Sunday Morning Bible Hour (9:00 AM)
  • Sunday Morning Bible Hour (9:00 AM - Starts up again after Labor Day!)

Adult Bible Study - While the kids are at Sunday School, the adults gather for an hour of Bible study in the church sanctuary. We study various books and teachings of the Bible and how they apply to our lives. We often take topics like how to study the Bible, Christian citizenship, Christian living, worship, and many others. We also look at issues like dealing with family conflict, living in a post-modern world, responding to challenges and blessings, etc. Come join us any time and bring your questions and thoughts to the group!

Watch for what Sunday morning Bible studies we will be offering in the coming weeks!

Early Childhood Sunday School - Children ages 2-4 are invited to join us each Sunday in the gathering area of the church for Early Childhood Sunday School. The children will enjoy getting to know their Savior Jesus through interactive songs, stories, fun crafts and hands-on activities. We ask that a parent or guardian be present in the building during the class to take care of any discipline or bathroom issues. Caregivers are invited to attend the Adult Bible Study that takes places in the front of the church.

Elementary Sunday School & Teen Class - Students in grades K-12 are welcome to join us any Sunday for Sunday School! Children in grades K-6 will learn a Bible lesson, sing songs, and have fun ways to get to know their Savior better.

Those in grades 7-12 will dig deeper into God's Word with a topical study designed for teens. Bring your kids any time, so they too can discover God's answers through his Word!

    Weekday Bible Studies
  • During the course of the school year, we offer a number of Bible study opportunities for families and specific groups. These Bible studies not only provide the opportunity to dig into God's Word with fellow believers, but to enjoy some fellowship time as well. Here are some of the opportunities planned for the coming months:

    - Triple C (Cross of Christ Campus) Bible Study - Restarting in the fall!

    - Women's Bible Study - Restarting in the fall!

    - Advent Night - On December 2, we will hold our annual Advent Night where we will gather as a family in Christ to prepare our hearts for the coming of our Savior. We hope you can join us!

Shining LIke Stars: Christians Living in a Digital Age This midweek series will be offered in the 2015-16 school year. We will delve into the challenges of living as a Christian in a time when everyone seems to be "hyperconnected". As much of a blessing as technology can be, there are also pitfalls for the Christian. Among the topics to be discussed, we will take a closer look at parenting and marriage in the digital age, letting your light shine when using social media, and dealing with social media and technology as a blessing rather than a distraction. Child care and a meal for each session will be provided.

Our church body, the Wisconsin Evangelical Lutheran Synod (WELS), also offers a variety of tools for personal Bible study and spiritual growth, including daily devotions and daily Bible readings.
