Grow in God's Word!

One of our most important goals at Cross of Christ is to connect you to God and his Word. We strive to do that by sharing the Gospel of Jesus Christ in all of our worship services, sermons, family and children's events, as well as in areas of ministry. The best way to really get to know God, however, is to sit down with a group of people and dig into his Word together. What a better way to "grow in the grace and knowledge of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ!" (2 Peter 3:18)

Cross of Christ offers a variety of Bible study opportunities for people of all ages on a regular basis. Click on one of the headers below for more information!

Growing in Hope: A Bible Basics Course
  • "Growing in Hope" is a relaxed pace, 17-lesson, introductory study of Bible basics open to anyone interested in finding out more about what God has to say to us in his Word for our lives today, especially anyone who is interested in becoming more involved as members of Cross of Christ. It's also a great refresher if it's been a while since you last covered the basics of God's Word. There is no obligation to join our congregation if you choose to take this course.

This Bible study is a great way to get your faith and knowledge of God's Word strengthened. It is also the best way to really see what we baelieve and teach about God's Word. Everyone who takes this course takes a lot out of it and really grows in their hope and faith in God. Held at various times and places to meet needs of those who want to take it. Contact Pastor Gumm to start a new session!

Sunday Morning Bible Hour (9:00 AM)
  • Sunday Morning Bible Hour (9:00 AM)

Adult Bible Study - While the kids are at Sunday School, the adults gather for an hour of Bible study in our fellowship area. We study various books and teachings of the Bible and how they apply to our lives. We often take topics like how to study the Bible, Christian living, prayer, worship, and many others. We also look at issues like dealing with family conflict, living in a hyperconnected world, responding to challenges and blessings, and others. Our new series--The Word Shall Endure: The Life and Legacy of Martin Luther and the Reformation--begins September 10. Hope to see you there!

Early Childhood Sunday School - Children from age 2 to grade K are invited to join us each Sunday in the cry room at the rear of our sanctuary for Early Childhood Sunday School. The children will enjoy getting to know their Savior Jesus through interactive songs, stories, fun crafts and hands-on activities. We ask that a parent or guardian be present in the building during the class to take care of any discipline or bathroom issues. Caregivers are invited to attend Adult Bible Study in the fellowship area.

Elementary Sunday School & Teen Class - Students in grades 1-12 are welcome to join us each Sunday for Sunday School! Children in grades 1-7 learn Bible lessons, sing songs, and have fun getting to know their Savior and his Word better. Grades 1-3 meet at the rear of the sanctuary, while grades 4-6 meet in the classroom area. Student in grades 7-12 will dig deeper into God's Word with a topic study geared for teens. Teen class meets in the kitchen.

Bring your kids so they, too, can discover what God has for them in his Word!

We meet bi-weekly via Skype. Contact Pastor Gumm for more information!

    - Women's Bible Study - Typically meets in a home on Friday mornings. Contact Lisa Gumm to find out when our next Bible study series!

    - Advent Night - On the Wednesday after Thanksgiving, we hold our annual Advent Night where we gather as a family in Christ to prepare our hearts for the coming of our Savior. We hope you can join us!
